Hi everyone, I'm new here in planetaudit. I'm an Audit Senior with 2+ years of experience in one of the Top 3 auditing firms in the Philippines. I'm planning to make an international move and I would like to know the minimum experience that employers require for auditors from the Philippines to be qualified in their job openings. Hi. Having a reasonable knowledge of Audit recruitment internationally, different regions recognise different accountancy qualifications withsome regions recognising certain Accountancy Institutes above others. Can you say what locations you are considering?

Thanks for you post! I have noticed that in some job postings. Some even indicate the specific accountancy qualification that they require. I even read one saying that CPA qualification from the Philippines is not equivalent to the qualification that they require. Anyway, the locations that I'm considering are as follows (in order of priority): Bermuda, Cayman Islands, New York, Singapore, and Australia.

Yes, I am qualified to take the CPA exam. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Accountancy, a 5-year program, from the University of the Philippines after completing 183 semester hours in the following areas: - 45 semester hours in accounting with courses in financial accounting theory and principles (including advanced financial accounting), managerial accounting, tax accounting, external auditing, and computer auditing - 72 semester hours in general business electives including business statistics, commercial law, computer science, economics, finance, business/accounting communications, ethics/professional responsibility, and accounting research - 66 semester hours in general education courses I obtained my Philippine CPA license on November 2005 after passing the October 2005 CPA Licensure Examination. I have gained 2+ years of experience by working in one of the Top 3 Philippine auditing firms since I obtained my CPA license.

Hi! yes it is possible to secure an international opportunity, 3 years is normally the minimum level of practical experience in addition to the CPA qualification required however some firms may consider your application if they feel your exposure and client portfolio outweighs this. It might be worth applying to some of the specialised global recruitment agencies?

Yes, I am currently completing my masters in Accounting program with one of the top schools here in the United States. I have had a strong drive to be CPA certified after my masters program. I would appreciate any experiences you can share with me regarding the CPA espacially the Financial Accounting and Reporting (FAR) section of the exam. Thank you very much.

Hallo everyone. I completed my bachelors degree in internal auditing and doing my honours degree in internal auditing at the University of South Africa and looking for a position at an auditing firm. The problem is that I dont have any auditing experiance and would like to start asap towards getting my CIA qualification. How do I solve this problem, seeing as every company recruiting from planet audit is looking for an auditor with some experiance?? Any feedback will be appreciated.

I am new migrant to Australia. I have 1 year audit experience. I am ACCA member and currently enrol for Open University program for Australian Law as well as Taxation. I need to pass this 2 papers before I can enroll for the Chartered Accountant program. Is anyone have any idea how can I land a Auditing job in Australia?

Hi everyone. I hope this post will be a way for the recruiters to help me out in getting overseas opportunities. I am currently an IS Audit Supervisor and had been employed in EY Philippines. Total experience is 5 years. I currently hold CISA and CPA certifications. Despite my qualifications, I still have difficulty in applying for jobs outside Philippines. Hi everyone. Thisis my first post on auditplant, just seeking some help. I am at the professional level of the ACCA qualification, the problem is that i don't have a degree because i started the program one year after A' Levels. I am currently working with a big 4 name in the Caribbean as a Staff Accountant for the past 3 years, however i am a British national and i want to migrate back.
